First night slept with magnsesium l-threonate, my universum didn't tip over. Indeed the drowsyness crept in about half-an-hour-ish after ingesting a dose but sleep quality didn't improve. Woke up some hours after dozing off and the cycle was normal (to me) falling asleep-waking up 1-1,5h after.

I'm now week into using moderate dosage (a pill a day) which is slightly over half of recommended daily intake. I'll up the ante a bit for a week and take a double dose of magnesium (something like 116% of daily intake) to see if there's any benefit for sleep or other effects.

Alrighty then, downed 2 dosages of magnesium-of-my-choice last night and slept normally. That is to say there wasn't any immediate effect, didn't sleep through the ie. there was waking up, didn't sleep later ie. woke up around 06 am. There was the teeny drowsiness as experienced before, that's all.
