I was testing out my new Shure MV7 microphone when Zadie popped in and asked me what I was doing. So I took the opportunity to record what she sounded like at age 6.
That is a super clear mic, no distortion at all. Do you have any sort of pop filter or windscreen in front of it?

At the advice of others I upgraded the windscreen that comes with the mic to a replacement for the SM7B here amzn.to/3ty3gVe
The windscreen is a bit taller so it gives you more space between the mic and your mouth which I guess helps with plosives.
