Is it being misplaced at the distribution center or once it's out for delivery?

Generally it's an issue before the delivery part. Often it starts from the wrong hub. If I see "Out for Delivery" but it lists a neighboring city in the metro I know it's not coming. Sometimes it will never get picked up. Others it just drops off during the process.

Ordering groceries online is a hot topic in FIN at the moment and Amazon has been brought up in the discussion. Have you tried it out, i believe they own Whole Foods atleast?

They do. I've tried it and it's fine for some items. But over here Whole Foods is noticably more expensive than most other grocery stores so I don't do it often.

Aww yeah, I know it's probably a lost cause to restore them, but wish we could keep them around

I visited Michigan once - went to the NASCAR track for a work thing. It was like 30 minutes outside Ann Arbor, if I remember correct, and I was amazed how much farm land was out there. A bunch of beautiful red barns and farms.

Agreed. I lived down the road from this one for years. Was kinda sad when they finally tore it down.

Yeah, my wife has an iPhone and occasionally plugs into my truck so I've seen it. It's similar. Not sure if it's dynamic or not but I think Apple has been ahead in this area.

Cool history! What was your role at UPS? Logistics are fascinating to me

I worked at corporate for 10 years so had a few roles. Web mgr for PR for a while. Ended with Sponsorship group where I worked with NASCAR & special events like this doing non-tech stuff like on-site hosting.

Yeah this was through Apple's trade-in process

That's the only thing about Apple/iPhone that makes me jealous. I love Android and am constantly frustrated by my wife's iPhone. But I envy how they keep their value so much better than Android phones do.

I just did an Apple trade-in on an iPhone 12 and the screen had a few scratches on it but they gave full quoted value...first time doing a mail-in trade

Was that with Apple? I've had better luck with trade-in programs. I traded in a Pixel 5 for a new Pixel 7 from AT&T bc they had a program that allowed almost any trade-in. So my Pixel 6 was worth more so kept it & wanted to sell it. Then I got lazy & decided to try GadgetPickup.

As an Okie for 27 years, I feel that I am obligated to watch it but there have been so many other things that I’ve got on my plate to watch. It looks good but just have not gotten there yet. Same with Reservation Dogs.

There's definitely a lot of good stuff on these days. But there are also only like 8-10 episodes every 12-18 months for most shows nowadays so it's easy to catch up.

I haven't watched it yet, but I lived in the Tulsa, OK area for 15+ years so I probably should 😃

Good fish out of water show, but they don't make Stallone an idiot from NY and he doesn't disrespect OK. And the show doesn't look down on OK. It's a good show, and I'm not even a big fan of mobster stuff, in general.

Not dumb at all! Yeah it will do syntax highlighting for those languages and close to 200 in total 🙌

You can also share and discuss code snippets with the new quote feature 🤓 and it will do syntax highlighting ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Just select the code "< >" option in the Drop compose dialog in the quote editor.
# The Greeter class
class Greeter
  def initialize(name)
    @name = name.capitalize
  end

  def salute
    puts "Hello #{@name}!"
  end
end

# Create a new object
g = Greeter.new("glue")

# Output "Hello Glue!"
g.salute

This might be a dumb question bc I only dabble in coding, but would this highlight code in various languages - ie java, Python, sql, etc.?

Because acct had been renamed & moved off my domain to some weird "goog" domain none of the normal pop3/imap options worked. Then I realized that I could open old &new accts in Outlook desktop app & just drag stuff from 1 to other.

Had old domain a friend had been using an email on for 20 yrs. I stopped paying Google for email service, thinking no one was using it. Spent days to 1) Get her email address back, 2) Get all the old emails and 3) Get them from recovered/renamed account to the newly created email acct.

At a content level @glue supports full length blog posts, audio and posting quote or code highlights. Also can put your Glue profile on your own domain (in beta) Stay tuned though for new features coming soon

I haven't really thought through the whole Glue on your domain, but I feel like that's going to be pretty awesome and useful. You know, whenever I get around to thinking about why I want that. 😂

Actually, the usage of glue is not clear to me. I introduced glue to my friends as an alternative social networking service to Twitter, but I cannot explain how it is the same or different from Twitter.😭

Well, one important way Glue is different than Twitter: @noah vs. Elon.

John Oliver sent demonic dolls that washed up in Texas to Sweden to be disposed of into talking garbage cans by the lead singer of the Swedish band The Cardigans. Because of course he did.

I'm trying to rebuild my followers/friends base in a more thoughtful way. And there have been a couple of people I've followed who spent too much time talking about an undesirable topic, making me wonder why I followed them in the first place. Thought this was a good way to recall that.

We did the same for '20. Wife bought a fake one in 2021. I'm hoping this is the last year for it. Don't remember exactly the reason for the tree shortage but farm's website said hoping for return next year. Farm has other activities for the kids so we used to make a whole day of it. Pic from 2019.
